Hoster Tully
Hoster Tully is the head of House Tully, Paramount of Riverrun, and liege lord of the Riverlands. Hoster served in the War of the Ninepenny Kings, where he befriended Lord Baelish. This led to Lord Baelish's son, Petyr, being fostered at Riverrun. Some time after the war, Hoster tried to betroth his war hero brother, Brynden "The Blackfish" Tully, to Bethany Redwyne, but Brynden would have none of it. This began the decades-long feud between the two. After things settled down, Hoster married Minisa Whent and together the couple had three children; Catelyn, Lysa and Edmure Tully. Minisa had in fact gave birth to four sons and two daughters, though only Catelyn, Lysa and Edmure survived infancy. This took it's toll on Minisa which left her bed ridden since, leaving Lord Hoster with a heavy a heartbreak.
As time passed, Hoster was inquired by Lord Rickard Stark of Winterfell to betroth Brandon Stark to his eldest daughter, Catelyn, in which Hoster astoundingly agreed. Hoster had consorted to betroth Lysa but all attempts was to no avail. A marriage to Jaime Lannister was discussed, but the deal fell through when Cersei Lannister pushed Jaime to join the King's guard before the arrangements were complete. Tywin Lannister offered his younger son Tyrion instead but was rebuffed by the Paramount of Riverrun. Hoster would then send Petyr Baelish back to the Fingers due to his recent rash actions, finding out Petyr had challenged Brandon for Catelyn's hand in a losing effort and sleeping with Lysa later that night. This eventually to a confession from Lysa, revealing her pregnancy to Hoster in the hopes that he would relent and let her wed Petyr. Unfortunately Hoster forced her to abort the child instead, having made her drink moon tea, with tansy and mint and wormwood, a spoon of honey and a drop of pennyroyal. Hoster has now found it quite difficult to attain a match for Lysa due to her shattered maidenhood. Hoster allowed his children to attend the Tourney at Harrenhal under strictguidance and supervision of his brother, Ser Brynden. |
Minisa Tully
Minisa Whent-Tully is the loving wife of Lord Hoster and mother of Catelyn Tully, Lysa Tully andEdmure Tully. As a young woman, Minisa wed Hoster Tully and beget to Lady of Riverrun. At the time of their marriage, House Whent was the strongest vassal of House Tully. Minisa gave birth to four sons and two daughters, though only Catelyn, Lysa, and Edmure survived infancy. The other deceased children may have suffered from SIDS {Sudden Infant Death Syndrome} in which the death of an infant is sudden and not predicted, remaining unexplained to date. This took it's toll on Minisa's health as she soon would become bed ridden and frail, leaving Hoster with a heavy heartbreak. Her eldest daughter/child, Catelyn, would thereafter nurture her own siblings due to Minisa's set back. Catelyn thinks of her beloved mother dearly, missing her warm smile and the touch of her soft hands. After all her children left to attend the Tourney at Harrenhal, Minisa miraculously began to show signs of motion by actively leaving her bed on her own will and constantly partaking in physiotherapy. This sped her recovery but she is not as healthy as before, leaving her acrimonious.

Catelyn Tully
Catelyn Tully, born 264 AL, is the oldest daughter/child of Hoster Tully and Minisa Whent. Catelyn adores her siblings Lysa & Edmure, having had to nurture them as a mother figure at the age of 10, due to Minisa's weak state after her latest miscarriage setback. When they were young, Catelyn and Lysa first learned to buss by taking turns kissing Petyr. Catelyn recalls it being very innocent, though Petyr saw it as more. When Catelyn turned 12 it was announced she was betrothed to Brandon Stark, heir of Winterfell. Despite her marriage being arranged, Catelyn grew quite the infatuation over her betrothed Brandon Stark, falling under his array of charm.
When the Stark's visited Riverrun, Catelyn was left in awe over Brandon after he presented her with his deceased mother's sapphire necklace, despite it's prestige to the Stark family. One night Petyr Baelish tried to kiss Catelyn under his desire for her but she responded by lopping him off and laughing playfully. When Catelyn's wedding date to Brandon Stark was announced, Petyr Baelish challenged him in a duel for Catelyn's hand. Brandon accepted with mirthless enthusiasm and eventually defeated Petyr with ease. Catelyn pleaded for her betrothed to spare Petyr's life, because of that Brandon complied but not before leaving a lifelong scare on Petyr. Catelyn has since cold shouldered Petyr and has not spoken to him since. Hoster Tully agreed to send Catelyn, along with Lysa & Edmure, to the Tourney of Harrenhal. It all seemed grand for Catelyn, particularly managing to familiarize herself with her betrothed, Brandon Stark. However, Catelyn was in for a rude awakening, discovering her younger sister, Lysa, was having an ongoing affair with the newly wed, Lord Willam Dustin. In her time of need, Catelyn consulted with her betroth,Brandon, for aid on the situation. It proved to be successful as Lysa has not seen Willam Dustin since Brandon's intervention. Catelyn's betrothal to Brandon ended abruptly when he, along with his father, were killed by the Mad King, setting off Robert's Rebellion, led by his younger brother Eddard Stark and his childhood friend Robert Baratheon. When the War of the Usurper began, it was announced by Minisa Tully that her daughters, Catelyn and Lysa, would wed Eddard Stark and Jon Arryn, respectively. Catelyn gladly accepted on assumption that Lord Eddard was homogeneous to Brandon. Cat never saw her new betrothed until her wedding day. She felt a sense of disappointment when first laying eyes upon lord Eddard. According to Catelyn : He somewhat differed to Brandon in appearance. Lord Eddard wasn't as tall as Brandon, nor as muscled; His hair was blonde, not black; And he looked a little less personable. |
Lysa Tully
Lysa Tully, Born 266 AL, is the second daughter/child of Hoster Tully and Minisa Whent. Her siblings are Catelyn and Edmure. Lysa was raised at Riverrun alongside her siblings and her father's ward, Petyr Baelish. When they were young, Catelyn and Lysa first learned to kiss by taking turns kissing Petyr. Catelyn recalls it being very innocent, though Petyr was more forward with Lysa, who allowed him to kiss her with tongue. During this time, Lysa fell in love with Petyr, but her feelings were not reciprocated. One night Petyr tried to kiss Catelyn, and she rejected him, laughing. Petyr got drunk because of this, and Lysa climbed into his bed that night to comfort him in his grief. Petyr took her virginity that night, telling her he loved her, but called her "Cat" before falling asleep.
When Catelyn's wedding date to Brandon Stark was announced, Petyr challenged him for Catelyn's hand in which Brandon wounded Petyr severely. Lysa offered to nurse him and a fortnight later they slept together, again. This eventually led to a confession from Lysa, revealing her pregnancy to Hoster in the hopes that he would relent and let her wed Petyr. Unfortunately Hoster forced her to abort the child instead, having made her drink moon tea, with tansy and mint and wormwood, a spoon of honey and a drop of pennyroyal. Hoster has now found it quite difficult to attain a match for Lysa due to her shattered maidenhood. Lysa attended the tourney at Harrenhal with her siblings and uncle. Lysa was still in awe and passionate about her love, Petyr, but at the tourney she met someone that would steal a piece of her heart, the newly wed Lord Willam Dustin. Both Willam and Lysa had been in turmoil with recent events in their lives. Willam suspected his wife's infidelity, whilst Lysa had been in sorrow over Petyr. This led to the pair engaging in an intimate affair. Willam constantly ignored Barbrey at the Tourney, instead he chose to find comfort in Lysa. The affair did not last very long though after Lysa broke it off with the interference from Brandon Stark, under recommendation from Catelyn. Brandon confronted Lysa and threatened to reveal her secret affair in the eyes of all at the Tourney, in which she reluctantly complied. Lysa was in restriction not to tell her sister of Brandon's ways or face the Tully name being disgraced. When the War of the Usurper began, it was announced by Minisa Tully that the Tully sisters, Catelyn and Lysa, would wed Eddard Stark and Jon Arryn, respectively. Lysa was not as glad as Catelyn though, for her betrothed Jon Arryn had been much older then herself. She spent most days in her room either crying or resting. Lysa broke out of her shell for a little while when Lord Willam Dustin arrived in Riverrun for the wedding. Though, he declined to have her for one last time. |
Edmure Tully
Edmure Tully, born 273 AL, is the third/youngest child Lord Hoster Tully & Lady Minisa Whent
and heir to Riverrun. Edmure is also the younger brother of Catelyn Tully and Lysa Tully. He is known as hot-headed but good-hearted. Edmure had a number of friends who have similar characteristics, most notably Marq Piper. Edmure views his sister, Catelyn, as a mother figure with Minisa being bedridden an incapable of nurturing her children. When Brandon Stark visited Riverrun, Edmure had a falling out with the heir of Winterfell even though Brandon was Catelyn's betroth. Edmure was deeply upset with Brandon's aggressiveness and voiced his concern to Catelyn, though it proved useless. Edmure decided to act on his own account by stealing Catelyn's sapphire necklace, the very one Brandon had presented her with as a wedding gift. Catelyn suspects her brother, however she cannot prove it. Edmure attended the Tourney at Harrenhal with his siblings and uncle, though he was more fascinated with the young ladies and took the time to spy on them in very perverse manner. |
